Project Overview

Objective

The Center is a partnership of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), and the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA) with support from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

Working with Center Director Patrick Son and his excellent team, Celerate was tasked with designing a unique custom theme while also revamping and improving a custom Drupal CMS solution with an integrated Knowledge Center loaded with easy to find resources, events, and data.

Solution

The new National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE) custom Drupal website is designed to offer a suite of resources to serve the transportation systems management and operations (TSMO) community. The new Center and its website will offer an array of technical services such as peer exchange workshops and webinars, ongoing assessments of best practices in the field, and on-call assistance.

The Center website was also expanded to include two new resource libraries which were integrated into the existing Knowledge Center database. All assets for the Knowledge Center are stored using Amazon AWS cloud services to reduce server bloat and page load times.
